During the holiday season, Caliber was extremely pleased to be able to give back to our heroes who have sacrificed their lives for our nation’s safety and security, at home and abroad. Right before Christmas, Caliber was thrilled to share the Christmas spirit by lending a hand to a local Salt Lake City, U.S. Army Veteran, and her family.
Sara Thomas and her son David Elias Thomas were gifted keys to a newly restored 2013 Honda Civic last month. The car, provided by Allstate, was refurbished by local teammates at Caliber Collision's Murray, Utah location. Before the gifting, Sara did not own a vehicle and coordinated the bus times with her work schedule and with her son’s daycare, which created much stress in her life. Sara’s new vehicle will allow her to get to work at her own pace and spend more time with David.
Soon after this story aired locally, a viewer was so touched by Sara’s story, the individual offered to pay for Sara’s gas for an entire year. The good news didn’t stop there — shortly after the gifting event, Sara officially became a customer service representative for the Caliber Collision Riverton location in Salt Lake City, thanks to local regional manager, Michael Fitzgerald. Caliber is proud to share stories such as Sara’s and continuing to be a pillar in each of the communities we serve, by living up to our purpose of Restoring the Rhythm of Your Life®.
Since 2012, Caliber has teamed up with its insurance partners to obtain and restore hundreds of vehicles to pre-accident condition. The company has gifted more than 500 vehicles to veterans, active duty service members, and others in need of reliable transportation.
