At Caliber, we recognize the value and importance of strong community partnerships to further our purpose of Restoring the Rhythm of Your Life®. This is why our Restoring You programs, as part of the Caliber Foundation, support causes and organizations addressing issues that affect our teammates and their communities. Through our partnership with the American Heart Association, we’ve gifted $4M+ over the past six years to support heart health in communities across the nation.
As part of our continued support, we are eager to highlight the AHA’s ongoing initiatives – including their Move More Month, which happens every year from April 1-30. According to the AHA, “… getting the recommended amounts of physical activity is linked to lower risk of diseases, stronger bones and muscles, improved mental health and cognitive function and lower risk of depression.”
In an effort to motivate, educate and empower communities to engage in physical activity, the AHA provides living room-friendly virtual workouts, including sessions on stretching, yoga and Pilates, as well as ideas for activities to engage the entire family.
In addition to this, the AHA is providing faith communities free, weekly virtual health lessons through its new EmPOWERED and Well Virtual Faith Community to support mental, physical and spiritual health and well-being.
